The state of Haryana is one of the most tourist friendly states in India. It is a hub to connect Delhi to northern states like Rajasthan, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh etc. Haryana has no special or natural tourist location. But Highways and roads connecting to northern states pass through Haryana. Taking advantage the Haryana Tourism Development Corporation has developed many Motels, resorts and artificial lakes around these highways. These locations are very well built, refreshing and hygenic.

Chandigarh

Chandigarh is a planned city and was designed by French architect Le Corbusier. It is a capital of Haryana as well as Punjab. The major attractions in and around chandigarh are Rock garden, Museum & Art Gallery, Sukhna Lake and a Rose Garden housing 1000 varities of Rose.

Surajkund Mela

The Surajkund crafts mela is organised every year in the first two weeks of February. You can buy extraordinary pieces of art directly from the artisans. Quality is very high and prices are damm cheaper than showrooms. Surajkund is 10 km from Delhi. The fair is worth visiting.
